Mission
The Centennial Student Union Board serves as an advisory group to the CSU Administration. The student members bring ideas, concerns, and feedback to the regularly scheduled meetings for the betterment of the campus.
Each year the Board will hear budget presentations from all units within the CSU and make recommendations pertaining to the budget. Along with the CSU Director and Business Manager, the Board will then create and approve a final budget. The budget will be presented to MSSA by the Chair of the CSU Board in March.
Additional responsibilities of the Board will be to review and initiate policy, programs, and the environment of the CSU. The Board will receive periodic updates from Dining Services, who play a significant role within the retail food operations of the CSU. When appropriate, members of the University community will be invited to the meetings to discuss pertinent topics. The Board’s role is to give guidance and feedback to the CSU Administration as guidelines and policies are reviewed.
The seven current members comprising the 2017-18 CSU Board include Andrew Trenne, Emily Christensen, Kole Kleinschmidt, Qendresa Isniqi (Senator), Sam Hovick, and Nathaniel Pesklo. Mark Constantine, CSU Director, and Sue Olson, CSU Executive Assistant, serve as non-voting, ex-officio members of the Board.
